What does Sleep Aid taste like?
Like all of our CBD capsules, The Brothers Apothecary Sleep Aid capsules come packaged in a 100% vegetarian capsule. This capsule significantly reduces the taste of the herbs inside. However, you may perceive a hint of some of the herbs used in the capsules, such as light notes of sweet licorice, honeyed chamomile, and valerian root.
When should I use Sleep Aid?
Sleep Aid is recommended for use before bedtime and should NOT be used while operating machinery or driving a vehicle. Sleep Aid is a herbal supplement formulated to promote sound sleep and relaxation and contains herbs and botanicals that may cause drowsiness or tiredness.

Serving Recommendation: We recommend taking 1 or 2 capsules one hour before bedtime for the herbs to take full effect.
What do CBD capsules contain?
In addition to CBD and melatonin, Sleep Aid is made with three powerful herbal ingredients: valerian, chamomile, and skullcap. This potent trio helps promote healthy, restful sleep, night after night.
Valerian is a perennial flowering plant native to Europe and Asia that grows in wet, marshy areas. In summer, these plants can reach up to 1.5 meters in height. The flowers and roots give off a very distinctive aroma. Valerian promotes natural relaxation.
Chamomile, also present in our Golden Dream Tea blend, is harvested at its peak freshness and was also used to promote feelings of relaxation. It is often consumed as an infusion for its calming properties.
Skullcap is a perennial herbaceous mint that grows near swamps and wetlands. It was used in traditional medicine to inspire a sense of calm and rest.
Made in small batches with USDA-certified organic hemp, Sleep Aid is a simple and effective addition to your nighttime routine. Melatonin is added to further promote rest and, at just 3 mg per capsule, is an effective complement to our superior herbal and CBD blend.
What is melatonin?
Sleep Aid also contains melatonin, known as the sleep hormone. Melatonin is released by the pineal gland in the brain and then into the bloodstream. It is closely linked to the sleep-wake cycle, as melatonin production increases at night and decreases during the day. Sleep Aid contains 3 mg of melatonin per serving.
